Cross-Platform Social Media Automation via Make.com and Google Workspace

Project Overview
The client required a robust automation system to manage and schedule social media content posting across multiple platforms, using Google Sheets as the central control panel and Google Drive as the content repository.
The goal was to automate social media publishing on an hourly basis without manual intervention, ensuring posts are consistently delivered on-time, and their status logged for transparency and accountability.

Problem Statement
Manually managing posts across multiple platforms was:
- Time-consuming
- Error-prone
- Inefficient for scale
The client wanted an automated solution using Make.com that could:
- Schedule and publish posts on 6 different platforms
- Pull data from a Google Sheet
- Use content from Google Drive (text, images, videos)
- Provide post status updates back in the same sheet
TikTok was initially in scope, but later excluded due to API restrictions on Make.com.
Project Objectives
Retrieve and interpret data from Google Sheets hourly.
Authenticate and post content on: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, YouTube
Pull content from structured Google Drive folders.
Update the Google Sheet with publishing status.
Deliver a Make.com blueprint scenario and demo video.
My Solution
I built and tested a complete Make.com scenario that:
- Triggers hourly using a scheduler module.
- Filters and parses Google Sheet rows based on scheduled date/time and content type.
- Retrieves content (text, video, image) from linked Google Drive folders.
- Publishes content on the designated social media platforms using integrated APIs and webhooks.
- Verifies response success or failure and logs it back into the Google Sheet with OK / NO OK status.
- Accommodates multi-part content (e.g., separate rows for video, text, image per platform like WhatsApp & Telegram).
To ensure a smooth handoff:
- A demo video was created showing the entire workflow.
- A fully working Make.com scenario blueprint (.blueprint file) was exported for easy import and deployment in the client’s Make.com account.
